| Water supply |
To improve the health conditions and the food supply at the schools and small rural communities, we are providing drinking water and irrigation water.
Water taken from the springs in the mountains down to the villages by free fall through PEAD pipes, in the case of water for human consumption or channels, in the case of irrigation.
This is the first year we work in water programmes. We do not have yet all the funds needed to cover the estimated budgets.
In the pictures, panorama of Dzilong village and its storage pond seen from the springs. Repairing the irrigation system consists in waterproofing the channels with stones and cement in order for more water to reach the pond. Labour is provided by the locals. We contribute with cement, supervision and calculations.
